*Not currently accepting new clients*

My name is Kristen Dew and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist in Monroe, CT. I feel honored and privileged every day to help people work through struggles and see growth and change. From the second you walk into my office or I greet you on screen my focus is on understanding you, what you need, and helping you to grow. I think everyone is resourceful and resilient but there are blocks that prevent us from using those strengths. You already have what it takes to make change in your life and relationships, but sometimes need guidance to get there. Everyone struggles, life is hard, and there is no instruction manual.
In my office, you are free to fully express yourself. I welcome anyone who adheres to or deviates from the norm. My area of focus is in the overlap of trauma and consensual/ethical non-monogamy, BDSM/kink, and neurodivergence such as ADHD or Autism. I also welcome diversity and I work from a (DEI) diversity, equity and inclusion framework. Social justice is very important to me. My clients describe me as kind, curious, passionate, silly, and helpful. I’m excited to get to know you!
Kristen is a Clinical Fellow member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor, a Professional member of the American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), and a member of the AAMFT Queer and Trans Advocacy Network. Kristen teaches at Southern Connecticut State University and Fairfield University in the Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Department. Kristen is also EMDR Trained and IFS level 1 trained.

Therapist:
Marcus Tart, MA, LMFT
Pronouns: He/Him/His and They/Them/Theirs

I am an MFT graduate from the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Southern Connecticut State University. I have a focus on helping folks who have LGBTQIA+ and intersectional identities.
When we meet for therapy, I will listen with empathy and respect so that we can co-create a space to talk about and process emotion. I think about the structures and systems that affect you including your partnerships, families, other interpersonal relationships, community and broader society to help you make sense of who you are and what you are bringing to therapy. I believe that everyone has a story to be told and that story can be different from the messages we receive about ourselves from our surroundings.
My job is to foster a space where your story can be expressed freely. I believe it is an honor and a privilege to join anyone on this journey of growth and welcome anyone at any point on this journey.
*Marcus currently accepts Cigna, Husky/CT Medicaid, Aetna, self-pay and offers a sliding scale*
